Articulate Rise is fundamentally different from Storyline: instead of a slide-based authoring tool, it's a block-based responsive course builder that compiles to a React Single Page Application. The published SCORM contains a giant minified JS bundle that hydrates the entire course on load — no per-slide HTML files, no easy-to-parse structure.

How we crack open the Rise React SPA
Rise SCORM packages have an opinionated structure: scormcontent/index.html loads main.bundle.js which contains the entire course as embedded JSON. We deep-scan the top 5 JS files with a 2MB-per-file safety cap, locate the course payload, and walk it block by block.
Block types map to PowerPoint slides as follows: Statement blocks become title slides, List/Tabs/Process blocks become structured bullet slides, Multimedia blocks become image-heavy slides with up to 4 images in a 2x2 grid, and Knowledge Check blocks become quiz slides with labeled A/B/C/D answer cards.

Are interactive blocks (Tabs, Process) editable in PowerPoint?
Block content is fully editable as text and images, but PowerPoint cannot replicate the click-through interaction. The content is flattened so all hidden text is visible.
What about Rise scenario blocks?
Branching scenario text is extracted, but choice logic is flattened. All scenes are included as separate slides.
How many slides will I get from a Rise course?
Roughly one slide per block. A typical 30-minute Rise course with 25 blocks produces 25–40 PowerPoint slides.
Why is my Rise quiz incomplete?
If a quiz uses image-based answer options, the images are extracted but answer-card layout may need manual adjustment. Bold question text and feedback are always preserved.
