SCORM to PowerPoint — Editable .pptx from Any SCORM Package

Drop a SCORM .zip and download a clean, editable PowerPoint deck — every slide rebuilt with text, images, and quiz interactions, ready to edit in PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides.

    Quick Answer

ScormToDoc rebuilds your SCORM course as a deterministic PowerPoint deck. Each slide carries title, body text, up to 4 images in a 2x2 grid, speaker notes, and quiz interactions formatted as labeled cards. No AI hallucination — pure structural reconstruction.

SCORM packages are not PowerPoint files. Even when a course was originally built in PowerPoint and exported via iSpring, the resulting SCORM is HTML/JS — and getting it back to a .pptx normally requires the original source file. Lost the source? Author left the company? You're stuck.

ScormToDoc rebuilds the .pptx from the SCORM itself. We parse the manifest, extract every slide's text and media, infer scene boundaries from audio/keyword markers, and render a deterministic PowerPoint deck — no AI guesswork, no fabricated content, just faithful structural reconstruction.

    How it works (3 steps)

    1. Upload
Drop your SCORM .zip — Articulate, Captivate, Rise, iSpring, Lectora, or Easygenerator. We auto-detect the authoring tool.
    2. Extract
We parse manifest, slides, scenes, quiz interactions, narration audio, and every embedded image — locally in your browser, no server upload required.
    3. Download
Get a clean PDF, Word doc, or PowerPoint deck — plus a Content Vault with every raw asset ready to reuse.

    How the PowerPoint reconstruction works

Our Slides v1 pipeline is fully deterministic and AI-free. It uses semantic quality gates (rejecting under-12% text courses, warning under 35%) to decide layout strategy. Most slides get a structured layout with 14pt body text, max 280-character paragraphs, max 10 bullets per slide, and a 2x2 image grid for visual richness.

Quiz interactions render as labeled cards (A, B, C, D) with bold question text, the correct answer highlighted, and per-option feedback below. Image-heavy / text-sparse courses automatically switch to "Image Gallery" mode for centered visual presentation.

    What gets extracted

    • Each scene/section as a separate PowerPoint slide
    • Slide titles, body text and bullet points, properly styled
    • Up to 4 images per slide in a 2x2 grid for visual density
    • Speaker notes preserved in the notes pane (Premium tier)
    • Quiz questions as labeled cards with correct-answer highlight
    • Course title slide with author attribution where available

    Common gotchas

⚠️ Text-sparse courses trigger the quality gate
Below 12% text coverage we block PowerPoint generation entirely — the result would be nearly empty slides. Use the Content Vault to download images instead.
⚠️ Original source PowerPoint is not recovered
iSpring SCORMs include some PPTX XML which we merge in for higher fidelity, but other tools do not embed source files.
⚠️ Animation and transitions are not preserved
PowerPoint output focuses on content fidelity, not motion. Animations from Storyline or Captivate are not reconstructed.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the resulting PowerPoint?

Yes. It is a true .pptx file with editable text frames, image placeholders, and notes pane. Open in PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides.

Are quizzes interactive in the PowerPoint?

No — quizzes are rendered as static labeled cards (A, B, C, D) with the correct answer highlighted and feedback below. PowerPoint itself doesn't support SCORM-style interactivity.

How many slides will I get?

Roughly one slide per SCORM scene/section. A typical 30-minute course produces 20–40 slides.

Why does ScormToDoc refuse to generate slides for some courses?

Our quality gate blocks generation when text coverage is below 12% — the output would be embarrassingly empty. Use Content Vault to download the assets manually.

Does it work for Storyline, Rise, Captivate, iSpring?

Yes — all major authoring tools are auto-detected. iSpring courses get the highest fidelity since they ship with original PPTX XML.

    Can I include speaker notes?

Yes — speaker notes are preserved on the Premium plan ($29.99/mo per user).
